Gelato Classico in Palo Alto

The store had a make over. My favorite is the dark chocolate. It has a thick texture which is great.Staff is super friendly.

This is horrible, overpriced, frizen foodstuff. Doesn't even deserve to be called gelato.

Neat, not crowded, off track gilato bar. Some flavors are not cold enough.

Nice place to stop by when walking in Downtown Palo Alto.

Good gelato that reminds me of Italy. They have a location here and in Mountain View that can get pretty busy. They have all the traditional Italian flavors, I always go with stracciatella and it is fantastic.

Flavors are amazing

This food place offers a lot of flavors and great consistency texture and the colors is what I say. It's a small place on one side of the street apart from the main downtown area so you will have to look for it.

Incredible ice cream. My dad grew up in Palo Alto, and every time we visit he goes to Gelato Classico (this location) twice a day. It's delicious; try the chocolate carmello crunch

Flavors are delicious and so unique! The honey lavender one was nothing like anything I’ve tasted before.

A small gelato and sorbet parlor with just enough walk-in room to stand in front of the showcase and consider your choices. Gelato Classico may offer 300 flavors, but note that this location does not provide them all at once - just a handful. Still, this location is in convenient distance to a high school, a university, and the public transportation lines. Great for a student to walk in on a hot day, get a quick cold treat, and get back to studies.

Although right next to parking it is not easy to find a spot here during dinning time. It is a small shop and only one person behind the counter when we went. She was very friendly and fast. There is a bench to sit outside. They accept credit cards and have a NFC machine also. Metal spoons are for tasting, don't forget to leave them behind.

I'm Italian and to me Gelato Classico is the most authentic gelato in Palo Alto (if not the Bay Area). The best!

Great flavors, great service

have none of these 5-star raters actually eaten Italian gelato before? It certainly isn't what's offered at this place. EXTRAORDINARILY icy. I was actually crunching on ice. And the fact that some of the flavors were melted before even being served is a testament to the of ice-to-cream ratio. It's made cheaply.

Gelato made from buffalo milk !My gastronomy astronomy map unveiled all the gastronomical signs and led me to this gelato-cally ripe location! It was clear to me that I needed to go for some frozen sweet stuff after filling up with super spicy Burmese food down the street. Yes, something to calm the gurgling excitement caused by red peppery heavenly platters.Ah, palette pleasing and sweet tooth satiating! ... also the staff laughed at all my silly jokes. A perfect day to a perfectly edible adventure in downtown Palo Alto.

Rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced. We walked out after the cashier barked at us to shut the door.

My favorite Gelato place for last 20 years. Try it's caramel, hazelnut, creme brulee and lavender flavors. Best in town.

Cool ice cream place

Not good gelato.When I was there the gelato was sweaty (melting) which gave it an icy texture. They should have better procedures to keep the gelato at the right temperature.I sampled a few flavors and they were all pretty flat. I would not recommend this place.

This is the sister store of the one located on Castro St in Mountain View. Just as good!

If you walk here from Menlo Park in the summer, you will find it easy to justify getting 2nds and 3rds.

This place has some of the best gelatos I've ever had. It's well reviewed and for good reason. My personal favorite is Pistachio, but there's tons more and you'll certainly find a flavor that you like.
